The speakers are powered by a built-in lithium-ion rechargable battery.
NOTE: These are not the Lifetrons bluetooth model and must be plugged in to an audio source.
Condition: New in original box. Box is not sealed because I opened it for one use. I purchased these speakers for $100 on an international flight to Europe for use on a educational project overseas. In the end, I never did use them.The speakers still have a factory wrap of cellophone film on them for protection. The box and speakers are in like-new condition.
These speakers are a quality item.
